Municipality of Machu Picchu organizes the "Machu Picchu 2016" carnival culinary competition
The Food Festival on Sunday 14 February will be held
The District Municipality of Machu Picchu through the Deputy Manager of Tourism and Economic Development, is organizing the Grand Gourmet Competition Carnavalesco "MACHU PICCHU 2016" to reassess our culinary identity and motivate between social organizations and the general population of the district, consumption typical dishes prepared using local produce and using local ingredients.
The gastronomic event carnival on Sunday February 14 will be held from 09:00 am at the municipal stadium "José Nauchi Portillo" as one of the activities planned by the eighth of the celebrations of the carnival this year, in which they participate Associations, Unions, neighborhood, communities and the general public grouped into two categories: communities and people.
Registration for the contest will be held until Friday, February 12 during office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 18:00 pm in the Sub Management of Tourism and Economic Development, on presentation of copy DCI, sheet duly completed registration and description of the dish attaching the ingredients, quantities, technical and production process.
Event organizers announced that the winning entries will be awarded in the first two places winner (a) the first will win a refrigerator and the winner (a) of the second place will win a microwave oven, in both rural categories and urban.
It should be noted that the rating will be conducted by a specialized jury appointed by the organizing committee, who to qualify participants will consider the following criteria: flavor and aroma, originality and harmony, using local ingredients, presentation of the dish, application techniques, personal presentation, setting the designated place, among others.
