Machu Picchu will be the starting point of the fire torch at the Pan American Games Lima 2019

The Pan American Games Lima 2019, multisport event to be held from July 26 and August 11 in the city of Lima, with the participation of 41 countries in America, in 39 sports.

The torch of fire will be lit in Teotihuacán, Mexico and will be taken to the Inca citadel of Cusco, beginning its trajectory in Machu Picchu.

The other important cities of the country that will travel the torch will be: Arequipa, Cajamarca, the road of Qhapaq Ñam in Cusco, Huancayo, the Nazca Lines in Ica, Lake Titicaca in Puno, Piura, Tarapoto, Trujillo, among others for 23 days. 1200 people in the varied tourist destinations of Peru, will go in caballitos de totora, walking, horses of passage, until their arrival at the National Stadium in Lima on July 26 for the inauguration.

Proud to be the headquarters of Lima 2019, this sports celebration will impact about 3 million people throughout the country infected with this party that will live in Peru. The Pan American Games, will bring together 6,680 athletes from 41 countries across the Americas, will be 17 days of competition, culminating on August 11, developing in the various coliseums of 14 districts of Lima and Callao.
