It rejects transport fares hike to Machupicchu

Marco Ochoa, former president of the Association of Agencies for Tourism of Cusco (AATC), expressed concern over the increase announced by land passages to $ 20, from Machu Picchu Pueblo to the inca citadel; the same trades at the date at $ 16.50.

He said the increase in fares is arbitrary and even worse, being a consortium of carriers monopolize the route for decades.

Ochoa also said that there is concern among agency representatives of tourism for economic losses that could be generated, since the packages tendered nationally and internationally, have a cost that must be reset.
