Within the Bulletin no. 1 pertaining to 2016, the Ornithologists Union of Peru (UNOP) refers in pages 29 and 30 the finding have found for the first time the Ave del Sol American or also known as sungrebe within the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu, which is extremely rare, because this bird spends its life in villages located between Mexico and Uruguay.
