Museum Manuel Chavez Ballon site was created and built in 1960 by the resident works Dr. Manuel Chavez Ballon, thanks to his initiative and efforts came true infrastructure, but besides all this work would not have finished but had received financial donation from Mrs. Anita Fernandini Naranjo.

At present, Manuel Chavez museum reminds us of the history of the citadel of Machu Picchu, as the inside are exposed to the public over 200 stone, metal and ceramic objects, which were rescued in various studies to land Sanctuary through the years.

Similarly on the walls of the museum we can understand its religious significance reflected in myths of oral tradition in the area. In addition to the museum next to it you can see a small botanical garden, where you can see 100 species of orchids that were achieved 400 found throughout Machu Picchu Sanctuaries.
