Researchers at the Machu Picchu Archaeological Park, found a new stretch of the trail, which would lead to the Inca citadel and later could relieve visits to this destination.

The new section starts from the area Wayraqtambo or Tambo de los Vientos, this located to the back of the mountain, and where you can see the town of Machu Picchu from a totally different angle than usual.

The discovered section has a length of one kilometer and a half long, with 1.20 and 1.40 meters wide, this may vary according to topography.
