The city of Machu Picchu indicated that will host the XXVIII and XI National Meeting of Educating Cities International, entitled "Education, Tourism and Sustainable Development", which will run from 17 to 20 June in the premises of the Ministry of Culture area.

For the correct development of the meeting the Mayor of Machu Picchu, David Delman Gayoso Garcia invites the various authorities, including mayors, regional governors, councilors, municipal managers, etc., to participate in this momentous event.

So far international exhibitors who secured their participation are: Inter-American Development Bank - IDB; Mayor of Medellin - Colombia; Mayor of Sao Paulo - Brazil; Mayor of El Salvador; Mayor of Cartagena, Colombia; Headquarters University of La Rioja Mexico; Office of the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization - UNESCO.

Meanwhile Peru by the exhibitors are: Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Ministry of Housing, Sierra Exportadora, Ministry of Culture, Peruvian Association of Educating Cities, etc.

Miguel Street, president of the Peruvian Association of Educating Cities, said the goal of this event is to know to what extent are the advances in education, tourism and sustainable development that are taking place in Peru and throughout Latin America.

The reasons why this place was chosen for the event were made: The Sanctuary of Machu Picchu is an icon of the culture and technology of our ancestors (Los Incas), today is a development of cultural tourism. In this place every year thousands of people come to appreciate the kind of architecture that were over 500 years ago.
